About the Role
Reporting to finance leadership, this position is responsible for supporting external reporting, disclosure, and technical accounting matters across multiple stages of operations. The role works closely with operations, external auditors, and third-party specialists, while also contributing to continuous improvement initiatives related to systems, controls, and reporting processes.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and review consolidated quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS, including accompanying schedules and reconciliations
- Coordinate the drafting of management commentary, ensuring it reflects operational outcomes and aligns with financial disclosures
- Act as a key contact for auditors and advisors, providing clarity on reporting decisions and technical accounting issues
- Document accounting judgments and complex transactions, ensuring transparency and compliance
- Interpret and apply accounting standards relevant to asset-intensive and project-driven operations
- Assist in evaluating financial impacts of operational transitions and capital investments
- Support accounting assessments related to project phase transitions and capital activity
- Contribute to improvements in financial systems, reporting processes, and internal controls
- Partner with operational and technical teams to understand cost structures and performance metrics
- Prepare internal reports and ad-hoc analyses for senior management and the board
What You Bring
- CPA designation or equivalent, with a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting or technical accounting
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS and experience applying complex accounting standards
- Hands-on experience supporting external audits and preparing audit-ready documentation
- Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
- Experience working with ERP or financial reporting systems
- Ability to translate technical and operational information into clear financial disclosure
- Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple deadlines and priorities
