What You'll Do
- Support and enhance the month-end financial close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Review financial results, investigate variances, and provide meaningful analysis to support business decisions
- Partner with operational and finance stakeholders to understand business activities and financial impacts
- Support internal and external financial reporting requirements and maintain strong financial controls
- Provide guidance on accounting treatment for new business activities, projects, and evolving accounting standards
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with technology teams to enhance financial systems, reporting capabilities, and data quality
- Leverage automation and emerging technologies, including AI, to streamline finance processes
- Participate in finance transformation initiatives and special projects that support organizational growth
- Present financial insights and recommendations to leadership to support strategic decision-making
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
- CPA designation is considered an asset
- 2–3+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, accounting, or financial close
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, month-end close, and accounting principles
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with financial reporting systems or ERP platforms
- Experience with finance transformation, automation, or process improvement initiatives is an asset
- Interest in emerging technologies, including AI and data-driven finance solutions, is considered an asset
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple business functions
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
