In this role, you will act as a key leader on client engagements, providing tax advisory services, overseeing complex tax filings, and guiding the work of staff. You will also take ownership of developing tax-planning strategies, researching technical matters, and supporting clients with reorganizations, transactions, and indirect tax issues. What You'll Do
- Lead client engagements spanning multiple sectors.
- Deliver high-quality, timely client service that consistently meets expectations.
- Partner closely with senior leadership on strategic tax planning initiatives.
- Organize and oversee teams responsible for preparing tax returns.
- Conduct technical research and present findings to clients and colleagues.
- Provide tax compliance and planning support to a diverse client base.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, supporting their career growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to pursue new client opportunities.
- Recommend improvements to processes and team performance.
- Balance priorities across multiple engagements and deadlines.
What You Bring
- CPA designation (required).
- Completion of advanced tax training such as the CPA In-Depth Tax Program or a Master's in Taxation.
- 8+ years of post-designation experience in a professional services or public practice environment.
- Strong technical expertise in both compliance and tax planning.
- Excellent client service abilities, with a proven track record of understanding client needs.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
- A proactive and growth-minded approach, with aspirations to progress into senior leadership.
- Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience drafting complex tax memorandums considered an asset.
