A top organization in the real estate and development sector is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to join its finance team. About the Role Reporting to senior finance leadership, this position is responsible for supporting the financial management of multiple active projects. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate reporting, coordinating funding activities, and ensuring financial transparency throughout the project lifecycle.

What You’ll Do
  • Generate and update financial reports to support both internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Track project spending against approved budgets, investigate discrepancies, and highlight key trends
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and ensure financial records are properly maintained
  • Work closely with internal departments and third-party partners to facilitate funding timelines and cash requirements
  • Validate invoices and related documentation to confirm accuracy prior to processing
  • Deliver financial insights and analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, strengthen controls, and improve existing processes
  • Contribute to year-end deliverables and assist with final project financial wrap-up and reporting

What You Bring
  • CPA designation required
  • Background in project-based accounting, ideally within a complex or multi-entity environment
  • Solid understanding of cost tracking, budgeting, and financial reporting principles
  • Strong capabilities in spreadsheet-based analysis and data management
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail when working with large data sets
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities effectively
  • Self-starter who can work independently while staying aligned with broader team objectives
  • Clear and confident communicator, comfortable working with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
