What You’ll Do
Team & Operational Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of managers and accounting professionals, fostering a high-performance culture
- Direct resource planning, workflow management, and execution of deliverables to meet service-level agreements
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring the timely and accurate calculation of NAVs, financial statement preparation, and capital allocations
- Review accounting outputs including management and performance fees, carried interest, and investor reporting
- Maintain strong client relationships as the primary point of contact for fund accounting services
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Investor Relations, Tax, Audit, Financial Reporting, and Technology teams
- Ensure all documentation, processes, and deliverables adhere to internal controls, regulatory standards, and client expectations
- Oversee audit processes and partner with external stakeholders to ensure compliance and timely resolution of issues
- Drive efficiency and automation initiatives across fund operations
- Participate in new client onboarding, conversions, and integration projects
- Review and refine operations processes to align with strategic business goals
- Identify, plan, and implement improvements in process quality, team capabilities, and technology adoption
- Recruit, train, and develop team members; conduct regular performance reviews and career coaching
- Identify skills gaps and implement training programs to elevate team performance
- Act as a liaison between team and senior leadership, fostering open communication and transparency
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence
What You Bring
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; CPA or equivalent designation strongly preferred
- 8+ years of progressive experience in private equity or public accounting, with leadership responsibilities
- Deep technical expertise in private equity fund structures, accounting policies (US GAAP, IFRS, etc.), and operational workflows
- Strong understanding of fund waterfalls, carried interest models, and capital event reporting
- Track record of leading technology transformation and process automation initiatives
- Skilled communicator and strategic thinker with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach
- Proficiency in Excel and Word; experience with PE accounting platforms is a strong asset
